CGM Cooperative Group

The CGM Cooperative Group – Gino Mattarelli National Consortium of Social Cooperation, is a third-level consortium composed of 70 territorial consortia and nearly 1,000 social enterprises and cooperatives.
Under the leadership of President Stefano Granata, CGM has faced the challenges imposed by the economic crisis and growing social needs through an innovative and strategic approach.
The group’s strategy includes diversifying production to reduce economic dependence on public agencies and opening governance to people from outside the cooperative world to bring in new skills.

CGM is rooted in the territory and plays a key role in promoting the values of social cooperation, offering social, health, educational and job placement services for disadvantaged people.
Innovation is at the heart of the consortium’s activities, with projects such as the Mestieri Consortium, which promotes job placement, and Welfare Italia Servizi, which proposes a model of accessible, quality “light healthcare.”

Social responsibility is a pillar of CGM’s philosophy, which promotes sustainable development and social inclusion through training, consulting and support initiatives for member cooperatives.
The group’s governance is characterized by a strong orientation toward participation and sharing of strategic decisions, actively involving territorial consortia and member cooperatives.
